Heartland Water Technology, Inc. is a dynamic and growing technology company that develops and markets proprietary wastewater treatment technology and services, focused at on the intersection between water, renewable energy and resource recovery. Our technology is used in a number of areas including solid waste, natural gas production, and electric power generation industries. Our systems beneficially re-use renewable and waste energy sources to power an evaporative water treatment process, delivering a cost effective and environmentally sustainable solution for our customers.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop technical messaging and content that is educational, easy to understand and speaks clearly to our customer base.
- Collaborate on the go-to-market strategy and drive the content and positioning aspects from concept to launch.
- Plan and execute successful product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns that serve to educate customers & prospects on the benefits of Heartland’s gasification technology.
- Speak directly to our customers to understand benefits and clearly define the customer focused value proposition.
- Work closely with the Business Development teams to identify target audiences, developing ideal customer profiles and determining how Heartland can meet their needs.
- Develop internal tools and external collateral to support Business Development along every part of the customer journey including case studies, brochures, corporate presentations, website development social media messaging.
- Work cross-functionally to improve the visibility of product marketing efforts, developing a continuous flow of communication between the product, marketing, customer, and sales teams.
- Develop a competitive analysis that provides valuable insight into the broader market.
- Track product and marketing campaign performance across channels and markets
Skillset Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; MBA is a plus.
- 3+ years’ experience in a product marketing role for an industrial product. Technical understanding is a must; residual or biosolids industry background a plus.
- Experience releasing products and services to new and existing markets.
- Ability to develop a deep understanding of technical audiences within the market.
- New market evaluation including technoeconomic modeling and market sizing.
- Outstanding written communications skills with ability to translate complex concepts and technology into simple, engaging, and intuitive messaging.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with different teams.
- You are proactive and comfortable working under limited supervision and guidance, you don’t require handholding.
- Excellent time management, organization, and project prioritization skills
- Comfortable with ownership and accountability for key aspects of the company marketing strategy
- You are adaptable and don’t mind working in an ambiguous, ever-changing environment.
- Approach all projects with a customer-first, data-driven mindset.
