KiwiCo is an innovative eCommerce company that sparks kids’ creativity and curiosity through offline and online materials and inspiration. We offer kids a delightful, engaging way to explore, create, and learn. Our core offering is a subscription service. We design and deliver awesome hands-on projects to kids. We also manage an e-commerce storefront and content platform. We take great pride and ownership in the products we build and in the community of parents and kids we serve. Our office is located in Mountain View, within walking distance to the Caltrain station. Currently, we work a hybrid schedule of Tuesday and Wednesday in-office and remote work the rest of the week.
We’re looking for a talented UX Copywriter to join our growth team on a part time (10 hours), temporary basis. This role is eligible for remote work.
In this role, you’ll craft clear, engaging, and helpful copy that enhances user experiences across KiwiCo’s digital platforms. You’ll be responsible for creating copy that drives conversions, educates users, and communicates KiwiCo’s brand voice. Collaborating with designers, product managers, and developers, you’ll ensure that our UX copy is consistent, accessible, and aligned with KiwiCo’s mission.
What You’ll Do
- Develop clear, concise, and user-focused copy for various digital touchpoints, including websites, apps, email flows, and subscription funnels.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to understand user journeys and design solutions that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
- Ensure brand voice and tone consistency across all digital platforms, keeping language accessible, educational, and engaging.
- Conduct A/B testing on different messaging strategies to optimize for conversion, retention, and user experience.
- Edit and refine existing UX content to maintain high standards of accuracy and readability.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of UX content writing experience in a fast-paced, consumer-focused company (e-commerce, subscription, or education industry a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of UX principles and best practices, including accessibility, usability, and user-centered design.
- Experience with A/B testing and a data-driven approach to UX writing.
- Proficiency with collaborative tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar, and knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with a passion for crafting copy that’s both functional and delightful.
- Ability to adapt writing style to align with KiwiCo’s brand voice, which is educational, engaging, and family-friendly.
