Google’s own leak showed they don’t have a single “EEAT score”, signal or attribute ANYWHERE in the algorithm.

 

EEAT is a framework for their HUMAN quality raters. Not a ranking signal! 

 

What actually correlates with “EEAT” in the algo? 

 

  • Entity recognition (Associations, links, brand mentions + Knowledge Graph)
  • Link authority (siteAuthority signal)
  • User engagement signals (AFTER ranking and comparatively)
  • Social, author and external trust signals
  • Historical data

So when an SEO “expert” tells you to “improve your EEAT” by adding an author bio and a headshot.

 

They’re confusing the rating guidelines with the actual algorithm. 

 

Adding a photo of your face doesn’t move the needle, building entity signals, authority links, and brand presence does. 

 

EEAT is what Google SAYS matters. Links, entities, and clicks are what the algo PROVES matters.
