About the Role
The Marketing Coordinator helps support the planning, execution, and improvement of marketing strategies. This role involves working closely with our external marketing firm and internal teams and assists with the building of positive relationships with external partners, vendors, and clients. Key responsibilities include managing marketing materials, assisting with content creation, updating the company website, coordinating events, and handling email communications. The Marketing Coordinator will also help carry out marketing strategies that align with the company’s goals, ensuring the brand message is consistent and effective across all platforms.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business segment leaders, the sales team, and other marketing team members to support marketing efforts and meet needs.
- Work closely with the external, outsourced marketing team on all marketing and advertising initiatives.
- Assist in aligning and prioritizing marketing goals for each quarter.
- Manage and engage with social media communities to maintain active and conversational interactions.
- Help uphold a strong brand image that attracts and retains both suppliers and customers.
- Ensure that brand standards are followed across all marketing materials, both internally and externally.
- Support event planning efforts and attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows alongside the marketing team to manage branding, collateral, and activations, as well as provide post-event reports and analysis.
- Participate in weekly marketing meetings, offering insights and updates as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure the timely delivery of collateral and meet project milestones.
- Assist the internal team in managing marketing and advertising expenses, ensuring proper recognition of invoices and matching them to signed purchase orders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, in marketing, communications, business administration, or a similar field preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of marketing experience or related field is preferred.
- Strong Communication Skills: Both written and verbal communication are essential for creating content, collaborating with teams, and interacting with clients and vendors.
- Basic knowledge of marketing principles: Understanding of marketing concepts such as market research, branding, and social media.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring all marketing materials are accurate and meet brand standards.
- Proficiency in Digital Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and marketing tools like email platforms, social media management tools, and basic CMS (Content Management Systems) for website updates.
- Social Media Skills: Experience managing or engaging with social media platforms is a plus.
- Creative Thinking: Ability to brainstorm and assist in creating engaging content.
- Must be domiciled in the Southwest.
- Availability to travel both locally and to out-of-state destinations on occasion for training or trade shows.
