General Responsibilities:

The position of Marketing Manager plans, coordinates, and executes digital recruitment marketing initiatives that support enrollment goals for the UAB School of Public Health. This position will develop and manage CRM-based recruitment strategies, digital communications, and marketing campaigns that engage prospective students throughout the enrollment lifecycle. The Marketing Manager position will serve as the school's primary resource for recruitment marketing operations by collaborating with Student and Academic Services, academic departments, School of Public Health Communications, and central UAB partners to ensure consistent messaging, regulatory compliance, and an effective prospective student experience through data-informed continuous improvement.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates prospective student inquiry management by monitoring lead routing and logging, response timelines, CRM data quality, campaign performance, and serving as the School of Public Health's functional liaison with central UAB Salesforce support.
  • Plans and coordinates annual and term-based digital recruitment marketing campaigns with approved marketing agencies aligned with enrollment goals, admissions deadlines, recruitment events, and strategic academic program priorities.
  • Creates and manages recruitment-focused content for email, websites, presentations, social media, and other digital platforms that effectively communicates program value and engages prospective students.
  • Manages school-level social media platforms by developing, scheduling, publishing, and evaluating recruitment-focused content while coordinating messaging with academic departments and supporting approved paid digital marketing initiatives run by third party approved agencies.
  • Maintains and enhances recruitment websites by auditing content, coordinating regularly scheduled updates with academic departments and the Office of Marketing and Communications, and improving prospective student digital experience.
  • Establishes and maintains school-wide recruitment marketing standards, workflows, documentation, templates, and operational procedures while coordinating schoolwide recruitment marketing requests and ensuring compliance with university branding, marketing and communication standards.
  • Provides training, consultation, and ongoing support to faculty, staff, and academic programs on university recruitment marketing strategies, CRM processes, enrollment communications, and digital marketing guidelines and best practices.
  • Supports prospective student recruitment initiatives by coordinating marketing and communications for recruitment events, coordinating school-and department-level representation at UAB recruiting events, and developing event registration and follow-up workflows, and evaluating recruitment marketing performance to recommend continuous improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Salary Pay Range: $55,180 – $89,670 Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Student Affairs, Public Relations or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Preferred:

  • Two (2) years of directly relevant experience in digital marketing, enrollment marketing, CRM-supported communications, marketing automation, admissions communications or a closely related function is preferred. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as social media ad platforms, Google Analytics, and email marketing systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail and timelines. Is comfortable using productivity tools such as Asana and Slack.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and their application to prospective student communications, nurture tracks, and outreach reporting.
  • Skill in creating clear, engaging written and visual content for diverse audiences, including platform-native short-form video.
  • Ability to see connections between outreach channels and coordinate messaging across platforms, programs, and departments.
  • Skill in organizing events and managing logistics with attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide clear, patient technical support to colleagues of varying technical comfort.
  • Ability to learn new software tools and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners across multiple departments.
  • Commitment to accuracy, consistency, and accessibility in all outreach activities.
