About the Role

Description

Rankings.io is a legal marketing agency for elite law firms. As part of our award-winning internal marketing team, you’ll help market Rankings.io to prospective clients and build a lifecycle email engine from the ground up.

You’ll own the strategy and execution of the email customer journey, including copywriting, campaigns, automation, reporting, testing, and optimization across prospect and client communications. Your goal will be to turn email into a consistent, measurable source of engagement, qualified opportunities, and booked sales calls.

This role sits within a lean, fast-moving marketing team and reports to the Director of Marketing. You’ll collaborate closely with our sales, media, events, and content teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the lifecycle email program end to end, including strategy, journey architecture, copy, execution, reporting, and optimization.
  • Map and optimize the buyer journey that turns managing partners and legal executives into clients.
  • Build multi-stage nurture flows, webinar invitation sequences, case study campaigns, and re-engagement programs in HubSpot for long, high-consideration sales cycles.
  • Write direct-response copy tailored to different legal audiences and practice areas, including emails, subject lines, offers, and landing pages.
  • Own email deliverability and domain reputation, including authentication, subdomain strategy, list hygiene, sender reputation, and inbox placement at firms with strict IT filtering.
  • Develop and manage a continuous A/B testing roadmap across messaging, offers, subject lines, audience segments, and send strategies.
  • Report on performance against qualified meetings, SQLs, pipeline contribution, conversion rates, and pipeline velocity.
  • Partner with sales and marketing stakeholders to improve lead follow-up, campaign coordination, and lifecycle performance.

Requirements

  • A portfolio of direct-response email copy that you personally wrote and can discuss in detail.
  • 3+ years of experience building and managing email marketing and automation programs, preferably in B2B or another high-consideration sales environment.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable enterprise marketing automation platform, including building workflows yourself.
  • Working knowledge of email deliverability, including authentication, list hygiene, sender reputation, inbox placement, and CAN-SPAM compliance.
  • Fluency in audience segmentation, behavioral triggers, nurture strategy, and A/B testing.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to connect email performance to qualified opportunities and pipeline.
  • Excellent written English and strong overlap with US business hours.

Preferred

  • Experience marketing legal services or another high-value service with a long, considered sales cycle.
  • An understanding of how personal injury firms make money, including cost per signed case, intake conversion, and referral relationships.
  • Experience with DealFront, Salesforce, or ActiveCampaign in addition to HubSpot.
  • Experience incorporating LinkedIn automation or SMS into coordinated lifecycle campaigns.
  • Experience using AI tools as part of your day-to-day workflow.

Benefits

  • Starting Salary of $95,000
  • Fully Remote
  • Unlimited PTO
  • $100 Wellness Reimbursement Program
  • Quarterly training stipend for Professional Development
  • 401(k) with 3% Employer match (Safe Harbor)
  • 100% Employer-Paid Health Insurance (For Employee)

What to Expect in the Interview Process

  • Human Resume Review: Your resume will be reviewed by our Talent Acquisition team.
  • Video Questionnaire: Selected candidates will be sent a link to complete 5 questions through video. Please plan to record in your typical work-from-home environment, ensuring it is well-lit and free of distractions.
  • Live Zoom Interview: Candidates who move forward will meet with Talent Acquisition and the Hiring Managers for a live Zoom interview to discuss experience, role expectations, and team fit.
  • Skills Assessment: A short email writing and campaign logic exercise. Plan for 60 to 90 minutes. Use AI however you normally would, as long as you can explain your choices.
  • Final Interview: Finalists will meet with members of the marketing leadership team to review their assessment, discuss how they approach lifecycle strategy and collaboration, and ensure mutual alignment before a final decision.
